Sustainable forest management (SFM) and forest certification (FC) are strategic priorities of Vietnam's forestry sector, as affirmed in the 2017 Forest Law and Vietnam's Forestry Development Strategy 2021-2030, vision to 2050. SFM towards forest development that ensures economic, environmental, and social sustainability. One of the key elements for applying SFM is that forest owners and stakeholders need to have sufficient capacity and knowledge to meet the requirements of SFM.
